He progressed to a Yamaha 60, then a Kawasaki 80 and then onto a JAWA Speedway Bike at the age of 12. He has spent his whole life riding bikes around the paddocks and on his family's practice speedway track at Mulbring. He was taught to ride by his Grandfather, who was an Australian Short Circuit Champion, his father who rode at the old Sydney Showground & Liverpool Speedways, and his Uncle who rode for Oxford & Cradley Heath in England. Adam's speedway career commenced two days after his 16th Birthday at Parramatta Speedway where he won his first race. He has ridden in State & National Championships, competing in all States of Australia. In 1995, after completing his H.S.C. Adam travelled to Poland and rode for a young Australian Team called the "Aussie Aces", and then went to England. On return, Adam did a training course learning the ropes of Motorcycle Sales & Service and became the Spare Parts & Accessories Manager at Kawasaki Newcastle. In 1997 Adam won the Australian Under 21 Championship, being the only NSW. rider to have achieved this goal and in 1999 won the NSW Long Track Championship at Tamworth. |
In January
2000 Adam was able to ride in the Australian Championship and was the
highest placed non contracted rider. This gave him the opportunity of
obtaining a work permit for Britain, so on the 7th March he packed his
bags and left for England. After several weeks of practicing over there
Adam signed a contract to ride for the Isle of Wight. In 2002, his third year of riding in England Adam and partner Danny Bird won the Premier League Best Pairs Championship in July, and then he won the Premier League Riders Championship at Belle Vue in September. This year he has scored 12 full maximums and 2 paid. He has had several successful guest appearances for other Premier League and Elite League Teams, the best of which, he scored a paid 13 while riding for Coventry and maximums while guesting for premier teams. These meetings can be viewed on Sky sports in the UK as well as in Australia. This year Adam has increased his Premier League average to 10.1 and his Elite League has gone up to 7+. This is out of a possible 12 points. Adam is an extremely well presented, motivated young man and deserves all the success that he has already achieved and much, much more in the future. As you can see, Adam's resume is quite impressive. You can count on Adam to be part of the action. Action that will bring you increased market shares meaning more sales of your goods or services!! |
